The Lodge
The flagship lodge, Yan Kee Way, is on the shores of Lago Llanquihue ( pronounced "yan kee way") with spectacular views of the lake with 8,400 foot Volcano Osorno towering over the shore. It is without a doubt one of the finest fishing lodges in the world with luxurious lodging and wonderful food. The lodging consists of modern bungalows and chalets.
The Bungalows are nestled in the rain forest and are individual duplex buildings with 2 bungalows per building. There is a living room with a sleep sofa, table and chairs and a small fridge. A full closet/dressing room and a full bathroom with jacuzzi tub. Up stairs there is a loft bedroom with two twin beds or a queen bed ( depending on your needs.) The Latitude 42 Restaurant and bar is available to you whenever you need it. You can dine at your leisure, and order from a full menu, there is no set menu when you purchase a package, you are free to order anything from the menu (about the second day you realize you can't keep up that level of eating for long!). The food is prepared by an American Chef in a modern state of the art kitchen. ( in fact the kitchen was designed and assembled in the US and then shipped here and reassembled at the lodge!) We have the largest wine list in all of Chile. 
We can accommodate the taste of kids as well as the gourmet. If you are leaving early on an expedition (fishing or other) you will fill out your breakfast and lunch order the night before and it will be ready at the appointed time. Your guides will find you in the evening to make sure they get your order and fill you in on the plans for the next day whether it be fishing or some other adventure. Also on site we have a nicely equipped workout room, saunas, and hot tubs with a view of the volcano. The reception lounge has email access, satellite TV and a huge volcanic rock fireplace to relax in front of. At the bar you can sit in front of a similar fireplace and try the local drink - a pisco sour!
Your expedition may be entirely at Yan Kee Way or you may be bound for El Patagon or Los Banditos so read on. El Patagon is further south in a te
mperate rain forest at the base of the mountains. You will fly from Puerto Montt to
the town of Chaiten in a small plane and then be met by our staff. It is then a three hour drive to reach the lodge. When we built the lodge our building materials had to be brought in by ox and cart. We have since built a road to El Patagon but the remoteness is still obvious. Even so we offer a level of luxury that is surprising. Although not quite as luxurious as Yan Kee Way, the bungalows are designed the same as the ones in Yan Kee Way. Much smaller in scale because of the remote setting we still have a 
sauna, hot tub and some great food. When it is compared to other lodges throughout the world, El Patagon can be still be rated rated as world class luxury. We own a 3,000 acre preserve that is all yours to fish. Estuaries, rivers, creeks and lakes are all sampled during your stay. You will be alone on all waters. Although there is not as many alternative activities as Yan Kee Way, we still offer a number of outdoor activities for the less fishing obsessed guest, kayaking and trekking being the most popular.
Los Banditos is the old hideout of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and is actually across the border in Argentina. This is a tent camp with significantly less luxury but entirely different terrain. You will have a personal tent that is large and dry, it is equipped with cots and has adequate area for changing and storing clothes. There is a central kitchen tent for meals and relaxing. This area is dry like areas of Wyoming and Montana. You will lack for nothing with heat, hot water, showers and great food and great fishing.
