We depart Yan Kee Way Lodge for Petrohué.  Early in the morning we board our boat in Petrohué, which will take us across Todos Los Santos Lake to Playa León, a trip of approximately 15 minutes.  Here we'll ascend a trail, through a small valley, until we arrive at a forest of Coigües and Arrayanes, and other very large trees which make up the cool jungle of the Patagonian forest.  We continue trekking along small creeks and up and down small gorge s until we arrive at the León River

 After a short rest stop, we'll continue our trek toward a fabulous valley where we will see stands of Alerces, (similar to Redwoods'), trees that live to be in excess of 1,000 years old and are native to this area.  Depending on the day and the desires of the expedition members, we have numerous locations during our trek from which to choose for our well-earned picnic lunch and rest stop.

When we return to Playa León, our boat will be waiting to take us back to Petrohué.  Back to Yan Kee Way Lodge.  Special nature trek to enjoy by yourself or with the family.
