JUNGLE TARPON LODGE - Season
The East: The fishing in Costa Rica is good year round, but still we have to compare it to itself so there is better tarpon fishing February through May and then August through October. Increasing rainfall in December and January effects the river fishing as the rivers are much higher, but it doesn't affect the ocean fishing, The tarpon are there year round.
The rainy season (green season, as they like to say in Costa Rica) is January and February as well as July. There is a lot of overcast days here which keeps the temperature comfortable even in the summer months. It is probably warmest in April cause they get more sunshine than in any other month.
