The Map of Kamchatka

Location

Kamchatka is at the very eastern edge of Russia really not that far from Alaska. It is not very easy to get to  which has been a blessing and a curse.  Many outfitters have stopped operations once they stopped the Anchorage to Kamchatka flight.  The most reliable way to get there is through Moscow which is about a 10 hour flight!

NEWS: NEW AIR SERVICE TO KAMCHATKA! 
Vladivostok Air lines will fly from Tokyo to Kamchatka this summer offering an alternative to to flying through Moscow.  Could be appealing for those on the west coast!
